I have been studying Japanese off and on for a number of years (more off than on!), and found reading the Bible in Japanese good practice. If you are already familiar with something in English, reading or listening about it in Japanese (or another language) helps.
Reading and listening to Japanese news broadcasts is also a good form of practice, but not easy. News consists of a number of different topics with varying vocabulary. When it comes to politics, the economy and similar subjects I don’t understand much. Also, for a non-native speaker, the speed at which the announcers talk seems fast. I think over a period of time this will get better, but it is a slow, tedious process (at least for me).
This blog will be a mix of various eclectic posts and information. Sit back, relax and hang around a while.
